Sibu Island is one of a chain of islands that form the Johor Marine Park, located off the east coast of Malaysia. The closest town on the mainland is Tanjung Leman. The waters surrounding Sibu Island are a marine park so there is no fishing allowed which makes this island perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling. The a number of turtles that live around Sibu Island, using the beaches at night as a nesting ground. Getting to Sibu Island Malaysia By Ferry There are ferries from Tanjung Leman that go across to Sibu Island. Ferry from Johor Bahru go directly to Sibu Island From the centre of Singapore it will take around 3 hours, including going through Malaysian immagrations and customs, to get to Tanjung Leman.
