Sabah is one of the states of Malaysia located on Borneo. The northern section of Borneo is called East Malaysia and contains 2 Malaysian States, Sabah and Sarawak as well as Brunei an independent oil rich country. The southern part of Borneo is the Indonesian territory of Kalimantan.

Sabah has been becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination as it has such a variety of activities and places to visit. The jungles of Borneo have a variety of unique and endangered animals like the Borneo Orangutan and pygmy elephants.

Sabah also has some amazing tropical islands off it's coast which are perfect for relaxing or scuba and snorkeling.

At Sepilok, in the north west corner of Sabah is the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. This centre takes orphaned Orangutans or Orangutans that were kept as pets and teaches them the skills they need to be reintroduced into the jungle.
